So much can happen in a decade, it sounds like little time but Victoria Beckham managed to take the fashion industry by storm in only ten years since joining it by creating her brand back in 2008.
From being a pop singer of British girl group “Spice Girls”, to now being one of Great Britain’s most talented fashion designers, the wife and mother of four has found a way to live out her dreams by being the best creative and innovator she can possibly be.
Victoria better known as “Posh” has always been a lover of all things fashion. From her love for sky-scraper high heels to literally setting trends whether with her hair cut or minimal yet chic personal style. She is also known to shut down a red carpet and make crazy fashion choices look effortless.
Her entry into the fashion business was not smooth; she met her fair share of negative opinions in regards to her as a fashion designer. Years later she has kept her haters quiet by simply doing that which they thought was impossible for her. Her designs have not only caught the eye of Britain’s fashion elite and the world but also the attention of Her Royal Highness Queen Elizabeth as well. It is safe to say that Victoria has become a national treasure in more ways than one.
The brand features a line of handbags, shoes, clothing, accessories and eyewear all inspired and created by Victoria herself. She acts as her own muse at times as she never shies away from wear testing her own clothes. This is a brand focused on creating sophisticated, contemporary yet classic British fashion. Her clothes are appropriate for the woman on the go handling her business to the woman who loves to have a good time and look good while she is at it.
Having showcased her designs at fashion week a number of times over the years, it was quite incredible to watch her as she celebrated her tenth anniversary during London fashion week.
Celebrities venture into fashion all the time but it is seldom to find a celebrity owned brand that stands the test of time and actually blends in with the fashion community. Her vision comes to life each season and you can feel so much of Victoria’s class and elegance in each and every one of her pieces.
Fashion pioneers like British Vogue’s Edward Enninful have definitely given their stamp of approval when it comes to the brand and this was felt as she celebrated the debut of her 2019- Spring collection at her flagship store on Dover Street in London.
In ten years Victoria Beckham has made her mark in the fashion industry as a serious fashion designer and we can only hope for greater heights for this remarkable brand.
