Tatiana Funkova takes on Paris Fashion Week to promote size inclusivity with high-end fashion

Vienna-based fashion blogger Tatiana Funkova and her team are making waves in the industry with their groundbreaking Project Size, which aims to promote size inclusivity and body positivity in high-end fashion.

Recently, Tatiana and Maria, the art director of Project Size, made a bold statement during Paris Fashion Week by wearing T-shirts with messages in support of size inclusivity outside the Dior show. Their actions received an outpouring of support from those around them, and the project has since gained attention through interviews and social media. Impact of Media and Fashion on Body Image: Tatiana Funkova’s Experience

With a personal mission to empower women of all sizes and change the perception of body image in the fashion industry, Tatiana shared her inspiring story and motivations for creating the project. “I’ve been into fashion since I was a child, a chubby child admiring beautiful dresses on skinny models. I was sure that those beautiful designer dresses were not for me because I didn’t look like those skinny models,” Tatiana Funkova explains. As a plus-size fashion blogger with over five years of experience, she knows firsthand the impact that the media and fashion industry can have on our perception of our bodies, especially for young women. “I created this project for little girls like me; I want to be their voice so they can live in a better world and not go through what I went through and what thousands of women have gone through,” she added.

Her recent video on TikTok about a Dior dress that wasn’t available in her size garnered more than 2 million views, and many people expressed surprise and bewilderment that high-end fashion brands don’t consider plus sizes. Watch video.

Inspiring Change: Tatiana’s Personal Mission for Body Positivity in the Fashion Industry

Tatiana believes that size inclusivity in high fashion is not just about clothes but about changing mindsets and eliminating the stigma associated with people’s sizes. With the Size Project, Tatiana and her team hope to create a positive impact on eating disorders, mental health, and creativity in the fashion industry. Their ultimate goal is to encourage high-end fashion brands like Dior to create plus-size dresses and promote a more inclusive fashion industry for all.
